Journal to the Self© Method

The next journaling workshop will be held on:

Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024

10 – 11:30 (MT) / 12 – 1:30 (ET)

on Zoom

You’re invited to Tame Your Dragons: An Online Journaling Workshop with Maggie! I’m looking forward to journaling with a diverse group of participants from all over the world! So bring your cup of tea or coffee, wear your comfy clothes, and get ready to tame your dragons!

Have you ever considered what would happen if you befriended a daily stressor? What if you could poke fun at it, talk to it, or even make it into a character?

Using the “Stressbusting” curriculum from The Center for Journal Therapy (founded by Kathleen Adams, author of Journal to the Self), we will confront a daily stressor with creative journaling tools, like the character sketch and alpha poem. You will leave feeling empowered and equipped with “new takes” on an old problem.

Fill out the short form and make a sliding-scale payment based on your need and resources. Open to all.

Register here.

“So this, I believe, is the central question upon which all creative living hinges: Do you have the courage to bring forth the treasures that are hidden within you?”

Can you trust this journal method?

Journal to the Self was written by the internationally recognized author and counselor, Kathleen Adams, LPC. Behind diarist Anne Frank and novelist and essayist Anais Nin, Adams was named the third most influential person in the 20th century to have contributed to the field of journal writing.

Due to the vision of Kathleen Adams, Journal to the Self bridges the world of counseling with the spheres of personal development and expressive arts.

This method also makes the expressive arts accessible to all and honors the process as a sacred and rebellious act of self-love.
